What LIMEN Energy actually does

LIMEN Energy is a private app for noticing what your relationships do to you. You log short moments — a conversation, a silence, a small kindness — and the app turns them into patterns, trends and a stability reading for each connection. No advice, no scoring of people, no feed. Just a clear picture of your own relational life, built from your own observations, and free to start.

Why tracking a relationship is worth eight seconds a day

You already track the things you have decided matter. Steps, sleep, spending, workouts. The relationships that shape your week — the ones that decide whether you arrive at Friday full or empty — are the one part of life almost nobody keeps a record of. So they get judged by memory, and memory is a bad witness: it rewrites the last two months based on the last two days.

That is why a good week with a difficult friend can convince you nothing is wrong, and one hard evening can convince you everything is. Neither reading is true. The truth is the aggregate, and the aggregate is invisible unless something holds it for you.

The cost of this is genuinely small. A moment takes seconds to log. Most people log one a day, some log three a week. Within about two weeks the app has enough to show you something you did not already know.

What you can track

The unit of the app is a moment — one thing that happened between you and someone else. You choose the relationship, note what happened in a sentence or two, and mark how it left you. That is the whole ritual.

The home screen. One button, one moment, a few seconds.
  • Any relationship, not just a partner — a partner, a parent, a sibling, a close friend, a colleague, an ex you are still untangling from.
  • Moments of every size — the argument, but also the text that arrived at the right time, the dinner that was quietly good, the call you did not return.
  • How it left you — nourishing, depleting, or stabilising. The residue matters more than the event.
  • The direction of the moment — whether you reached toward the other, moved away, or simply held steady.
  • Nothing about the other individual's character. LIMEN tracks connections, never people. You are not building a case file on anyone.

There is no obligation to be consistent, poetic, or fair. Entries are for you. They are private by default, and they are more useful when they are blunt.

What the app shows you back

This is where a log stops being a diary. Everything below is generated from your own moments — you never fill in a questionnaire to get it.

Patterns. When something happens more than once, the app names it and shows you how often it recurs, so a vague feeling becomes a sentence you can say out loud.

Patterns: what keeps happening, grouped as nourishing or depleting.

Trends over time. Weeks and months side by side, so you can see whether a relationship is warming, cooling, or holding — and roughly when the shift started.

Trends: the direction of travel, not just today's mood.

A stability reading. How predictable a connection currently is — high stability means you can rely on how it behaves; low stability means the same relationship gives you very different weeks, which is its own kind of tiring.

Stability: consistency, measured rather than guessed.

Emotional balance. The give-and-take ledger of a connection — what you put in, what you leave with, and whether those two are anywhere near each other.

Relational tendencies. Across all your logged connections, the app shows how you tend to respond under pressure — reaching, withdrawing, or steadying — and how that differs between your romantic, family, friendship and work circles.

How people actually use it

  1. Log one moment a day for two weeks. Do not analyse anything yet; the app needs material before it can be useful.
  2. At the end of week two, open patterns. Read them without arguing with them. Most people find one thing they had been avoiding naming.
  3. Check trends monthly, not daily. Direction is the useful signal; a single week is noise.
  4. Use stability and balance before a hard conversation. Walking in with 'this has happened six times since April' is different from walking in with 'I feel like you never…'.
  5. Revisit after a change — a move, a new job, a new baby, a rough season. Relationships shift under load, and the record shows you exactly how.

Why it ends up being about you

People usually arrive at LIMEN Energy wanting to understand somebody else. Within a month, almost everyone is using it to understand themselves.

That happens because the only data in the app is your own perception. Every entry is a record of how something landed on you. Read a hundred of those together and what emerges is not a portrait of your partner or your mother — it is a portrait of what you reach for, what you tolerate, what quietly costs you, and what you have been calling normal.

That is the shift from tracking to development. You stop asking whether a relationship is good and start asking what it requires of you, whether you want to keep paying that, and what would have to change for the answer to be yes.

LIMEN Energy does not tell you what to do with any of it. It has no advice engine and no verdicts about anyone. It gives you a clear, private, unflattering-when-necessary picture, and it trusts you to be the one who decides.

Private by design, free to start

  • Your entries are yours. There is no social feed, no sharing by default, and nothing to broadcast.
  • No profiles of other people are created. LIMEN tracks connections, not individuals.
  • It is not therapy and does not pretend to be. If something in your relationships is unsafe, please reach out to a professional or a specialised organisation.
  • There is a free tier. You can log moments and see your first patterns without paying anything.

Frequently asked questions

+How long before LIMEN Energy shows me anything useful?

About two weeks of roughly daily moments. Patterns need repetition to exist — the first one usually appears in week one or two, and trends become readable after a month.

+Do I have to log every day?

No. Consistency helps, but gaps are normal and the app does not punish them. Three moments a week is enough to get patterns; one a day makes trends much sharper.

+Can I track relationships other than a romantic partner?

Yes. Family, friendships, colleagues and ex-partners are all common. Many people find their most surprising pattern in a non-romantic relationship.

+Does the other person know or need to participate?

No. LIMEN Energy is a private reflection tool for you. Nothing is shared with anyone, and there is no partner-linking requirement.

+Is LIMEN Energy free?

There is a free tier that lets you log moments and see your patterns. Paid tiers add depth, but you can get a genuine reading without paying.

+Is this therapy or coaching?

Neither. It is a self-reflection and observation tool. It offers no diagnosis and no advice, and it is not a substitute for professional support when you need it.
